Check out the Beatnik Haul by Shweta Vijay Nair – Youtube
We all love flaunting quirky pieces of silver jewellery and getting the “ooohhhh and aaahhh” from people but then the pandemic happened. So, now we are attending the classes and meetings in our pyjamas. However, who said zoom classes and meetings cannot be fashionable? So, we decided to collaborate with our favourite content creator – Shweta Vijay Nair and present you our latest humble offerings from our silver look-alike jewellery collection to spruce up your online sessions. So, presenting the handpicked pieces from the House of Beatnik by Shweta Vijay Nair in her own zubaani (words) 😛
** drumrolls please**
“Hello everyone, my name is Shweta Vijay Nair and today we have a jewellery haul video. I have already talked a lot about skincare and makeup brands, so this time I thought why not show you guys one of my favourite online stores for jewellery. Today’s video is a collaboration with Beatnik Jewellery and I am going to show you guys their Silver Look-alike Collection which looks a lot more than what you paid for. They really care about the feedback from their customers. For example, they received a lot of requests to make the rings adjustable and they did just that in their next collection. That is one of the many reasons why I love this brand and they have really established themselves. In these online stores, you may get confused with certain things like how good the quality would be or will it be worth it. But trust me on this one guys, in their silver look-alike jewellery they use brass and have the anti-tarnishing quality which will keep your jewellery as good as new for a long time. And just by looking at it, you may feel that they are really heavy and unsuitable for everyday wear but they are actually super lightweight. The packing is also really good. They come in individual covers and they have their own company box, so it looks really neat and clean. One thing which I have to talk about is their customer service. They are really active on their platforms. If I have any problem with the pieces, I contact their customer service or DM them and get a response within 24 hours. Honestly, I have tried this with other ‘Affordable jewellery online stores’ and I don’t get responses from them this fast. They also mention each and every thing about the jewellery and I personally never faced any issues regarding the delivery or shipping methods. It comes within a few days. They also have a variety of other jewellery as well like gold plated, wedding type, Boho inspired pieces.”
Thank you Shweta for the appreciation, it means the world to us!!
Rock those bangles!
Shweta picked two chunky bangles and teamed them up with their thinner counterparts. The chunky ones are made of brass and are adjustable. Priced at 840/-, the first one is perfect for both Western and Indian outfits. The second one is priced at 970/- and has the elephant motif. It is made of brass just like the first one and adjustable. Both of them are of top-notch quality and easy to wear. This one too will go perfectly with the Indo-Western fusions and purely ethnic outfits.
The Ring Love!
The first one is a silver look-alike oversized flat ring priced at 585/-. It is sturdy and classy to the hilt. In fact, you won’t need another piece of jewellery if you wear this one. It might look heavy but you will be surprised by its feather-like weight. You can pair it up even with your Western outfit.
The next one is a Matasya Ring. Its unique design will steal your heart right away. What grabbed Shweta’s attention was the intricate and extensive detailing of the dominant fish motif. It screams elegance and is completely worthy of being called a statement piece. It is priced at 349/-. You can pair it with your choice of outfit. We say, “girls, you won’t get a sweeter deal than this!
Earrings with which Shweta fell for!
The first one is a silver-plated jaali pearl brass hanging earring up for 680/-. It looks delicate (but not), super lightweight and Shweta’s favourite part is the pearl dangler at the end of the piece. It’s perfect for casual college wear or formal office wear because of its versatility.
The second one is a silver look-alike made of brass Mahakay dangling earrings. Priced at 815/-, Shweta completely adores the Ganesh motif right in the centre. It goes well with Indian outfits such as saree, kurta or dhoti pants. It’s lightweight and causes no harm to the delicate earlobes.
The third piece is a silver look-alike handcrafted brass leaf pearl jhumka. Priced at 815/-, this stunner here is perfect for daily wear. The best parts of the design are the petite flowers and leaves at the top. It looks more expensive than what you are actually paying for. So, it is surely a bang for the buck!
The fourth piece is a silver look-alike brass turquoise stone jhumka. Priced at 1030/-. it is slightly expensive from the rest of the earrings but the feel of this piece is worth every dime you spend. It goes well with plain black or white kurta. The design of these earrings is also unique and slightly on the heavier side. So it can’t be a daily wear pair but can be a statement piece for your outfit.
The last piece in the earrings section is the silver lookalike handcrafted brass round jhumki and it is priced at 815/-. It is light on the earlobes and Shweta can’t take her eyes off the stone in the middle of the piece. It will really go well with dark coloured sarees or kurti and if you want to switch it up, wear it with your western tops.
Add bling to your face with our Maang Tikkas
Shweta is not actually a maang tikka person and keeps them only for special occasions. However, our collection made her try some. So, here are some pieces she chose from our latest collection.
The first one is called silver oxidized statement ghungroo maang tikka. Priced at 400/-. One interesting thing about this maang tikka is that it can be used in different ways like you can attach it with your waist chain or to your blouse to give a different look. This one can surely bend it like Beckham 😛
The killer (not literally) chokers!
These days Shweta is into the chokers up to her eyeballs. According to her, the best part of a choker is its flexibility. You can use it as a layering piece with a different neckpiece and that’s why it is a statement piece. It speaks volumes about class and sassiness at the same time!
The first choker piece is Ghungroo oxidized silver choker priced at 719/-. This is such a stunning piece because you can loosen it up and wear it as a necklace or wear it as a choker. Personally, Shweta loves this one as a choker because of the red detailing and gels well with any black outfit.
The second piece is a handcrafted lookalike royal elegant brass oxidized necklace. It is a bit expensive and will cost you around 1500/- but the quality of this piece is worth every single penny you shell out. Trust us, this one is in for a long haul. Shweta likes to layer it with another choker for a cool party.
The next choker is a statement mirror work choker piece. You will not need another accessory to pair up with and it is up for 790/-. “I can see this choker at a mehendi or sangeet ceremony where you can pair it up with yellow or orange saree or kurta or any bright colours. It is so well made and there is nothing cheap about it. The quality is just perfect.” says Shweta!
Next is a pink meenakari lotus brass silver oxidized necklace which is priced at 739/-. It is such a unique and vibrant piece that you can pair it up with a low cut blouse or a plain white flowy dress.
“The last piece is my favourite out of their whole collection.” It is a silver lookalike brass oxidized choker necklace earring set for just 719/-. This set is delicate and minimal. Shweta has seen the same product for prices double of what we offer for the same superior quality. “I have seen similar pieces on other websites for 2000-2500/-, but on Beatnik you are getting such a beautiful set at such affordable prices.” This is the piece you can wear to college and even to your workplace. The quality is also really good for which Shweta can vouch for. It feels so light as if nothing is on your neck and there is no kind of irritation.
