3. Mellow Yellow Gold Matte Plated Statement Drop Earrings
These are drop earrings, and the design is pretty, to say the least. The base metal of these earrings is brass and one thing that Geeta adores about this piece is its pearl danglers. It will go with your festive outfits like kurtis, Anarkalis or a floral organza sari or chiffon sari. “Here I have paired it with a plain black anarkali with heavily embroidered magenta chunni, with a mid-part low messy bun. The quality is also really good, does not feel cheap and it is quite sturdy.”
Oxidised Silver Earrings
Silver jewellery is a must-have category for every woman who loves to adorn herself. Leading fashion content creators such as Kritika Khurana, Komal Pandey are self-proclaimed silver jewellery lovers and why not?! They are versatile, funky and super flexible. They complement both Indian and Western outfits and come at pocket-friendly prices. So, here are some of the oxidised silver jewellery pieces handpicked by Geeta Hegde for her Beatnik Haul.
1. Silver Lookalike Handcrafted Brass Meenakari Pushp Jhumki
“These are one of my favourites in this whole collection.” The design of this one is intricate as you can see big orange meenakari work surrounded by small green ones which give it a flower-like design and hence the name “Pushp”. Well, at Beatnik, our craftsmen and women love to combine different elements to create a unique piece. “As you can see, I am wearing these with off-shoulder red top with a low messy bun, finished off with a red lipstick.” They look quite heavy but trust us, they go super easy on your ears. “This has to be one of my favourite jhumkis and I can see myself wearing these quite a lot of times.”
2. Silver Lookalike Handcrafted Brass Earrings
“First thing that got my eyes on this earring is the design. It is small in size and will go with most of the outfits.” Says Geeta with much gusto. The highlight of this earring is the pointed design at the very end of the earring. “If you pair this with a white kurta, heavy colourful dupatta, red lipstick and black bindi, it’s just perfect.” So, ladies, we say you must take this baby home.
3. Silver Lookalike Handcrafted Brass Jhumki Dangling Earrings
These jhumkis have small peacock designs on them that are really cute and are perfect for daily wear. It gels well with short kurti and jeans, long kurti or cotton Bengal sarees. If chunky heavy jewellery is not your game, then these are perfect for you. They are long, lightweight and do not hurt your earlobes.
FINGER RING
1. Gold Plated Red Zircon AD Studded Cocktail Ring
This finger ring is versatile and will go quite well with your lehengas or plain kurtas. You can pair this up with your cocktail dress or any formal outfit as well. We are sure that you won’t be able to resist wearing this every day.
CHOKER SETS AND NECKLACES
Chokers are one of the most flexible pieces of jewellery to be created. You can wear it as a headpiece, as a necklace, layer it with other neckpieces and the list goes on. So, let’s see which of our choker pieces made it to Geeta’s cart.
1. Pink Embroidered Mirror Choker Necklace
“This has to be my ultimate favourite piece. In this piece, there are a lot of bright colours like pink, orange and a generous dose of mirror work and I absolutely love when there is mirror work on my jewellery.” Well, Geeta, you are not the only one who is gushing about this piece; I am sure our jewellery lovers would love to lay their hands on this embroidered necklace choker. “In this video I have paired this with a white shirt, but I have also paired this with a peach and gold combination Anakarli kurta and this piece went so well with it. The quality is not at all cheap and would not get tarnished easily.”
2. Handmade Brass Silver Oxidised Necklace Earrings Set
So, this one is not a choker set but a long necklace. However, these kinds of neckpieces are really good for layering with small necklaces or chokers. “With the same above outfit, I have paired this long silver necklace. I absolutely love long necklaces, because I have a broad neck and long necklaces give it a nice shape and make it look a little narrow. Even though the outfit had a golden base, this silver piece matched really well, so you can pair it with white kurta or printed ones and it will look beautiful.” And with this neckpiece, you will get beautiful chandbali earrings. So, you can pair them with a plain kurti without the neckpiece and it will look amazing, it is a real deal, ladies!
3. Handpainted Pink Meenakari Lotus Brass Silver Oxidised Necklace
The quirky design of this pink meenakari necklace is a sure head-turner. Its distinctive design is something you must have seen rarely. “Here I have paired it with three-fourth plain light blue kurta, you can pair it up with any other plain colour kurta. I layered it with my mirror work choker and it looked fabulous. In this way, you can turn your boring outfit into a statement one.”
BANGLES
Bangles are best when one wants to highlight one’s hands. However, buying them online can prove to be tricky because of the size. So, we have come up with adjustable ones so that you don’t have to worry about them slipping on perfectly. Here are a few pieces that Geeta chose out of our latest offerings.
1. Silver Plated Brass Cuff Bangle
“It looks so good with anarkalis or heavy embroidered kurtis.” It is free size so you don’t have to worry about whether it will fit or not. You can layer these with thin silver bangles or just wear them as it is.
2. Silver Plated Green Stone Kada Bangle
“So if you don’t like the heavy one like the above mentioned one, then these are the ones for you.” This kada bangle is small and dainty and will go well with office wear.
